My Training Atlas — Traveller Terms and Conditions
Effective date: 9 May 2026
1. About My Training Atlas
My Training Atlas (MTA) is an online directory and introduction service that connects travelling martial artists with compatible schools worldwide. MTA is operated by Koru Consulting Pty Ltd, a company registered in Western Australia, Australia (ACN 616 945 996). Operating address: Dianella, Perth, Western Australia 6059, Australia.
By creating an account you agree to these terms with Koru Consulting Pty Ltd as the legal entity behind My Training Atlas. If you do not agree, do not create an account.
For questions about these terms, contact terms@mytrainingatlas.com.
2. What MTA Does
MTA maintains a directory of martial arts schools and facilitates introductions between travelling practitioners and schools. MTA is an introduction service only. MTA is not present at visits, is not a party to any agreement between a traveller and a school, and takes no responsibility for what occurs during or after a visit.
3. Your Account
By creating an account you confirm that:
- You are a genuine martial arts practitioner
- The arts, lineage, rank, and experience you provide are honest and accurate to the best of your knowledge
- You will keep your profile up to date
- You are 18 years of age or older
MTA reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account that contains materially false information.
4. Introduction Credits
Purchasing credits: Credits are purchased via Stripe and are subject to Stripe's payment terms. All prices are in Australian dollars unless otherwise stated.
Using credits: One credit is consumed per introduction request. Credits are consumed at the time of the request — not at the time of the visit.
Credit returns: A credit is returned automatically if:
- Your introduction request is declined by the school
- Your introduction request receives no response within 14 days
- The school you requested an introduction at does not claim their listing within 14 days
- Your introduction is cancelled by the school through the platform
Credits are returned to your MTA balance only. No cash refunds are issued under any circumstances.
First introduction: Your first introduction is free. No payment details are required for your first introduction.
Subscriptions: Subscription credits reset at annual renewal. Unused subscription credits do not roll over. Purchased credits never expire.
Credits on termination: If your account is suspended or terminated for conduct reasons, all remaining credits — both purchased and subscription — are forfeited immediately. No refund is available.
5. Your Conduct as a Visiting Practitioner
When you visit a school through My Training Atlas, you are a guest. The school has opened its doors based on your profile and the platform's introduction. The following standards apply at all times:
Respect the dojo-chō's authority: The chief instructor's word is final. Follow all instructions given by the instructor or senior students. If asked to leave, do so immediately and without dispute.
Arrive prepared: Arrive on time. Bring appropriate training attire. Pay the agreed mat fee at the door without dispute.
Represent yourself honestly: Train at the level your profile indicates. Do not overstate your rank or experience. If you are unsure whether a class is appropriate for your level, ask before participating.
Communicate if your plans change: If you cannot attend an approved introduction, cancel through the platform as early as possible. Silent non-attendance is recorded by the platform and affects your account standing.
Respect the school's culture: Every school has its own traditions, etiquette, and expectations. Observe and follow them. What is acceptable at your home dojo may not be acceptable elsewhere.
No disruptive behaviour: Behaviour that disrupts training, disrespects the instructor, or makes other students uncomfortable will result in conduct reports being filed against your account.
6. Conduct Reports and Account Standing
MTA operates a conduct monitoring system to protect the schools that open their doors to visiting practitioners.
How conduct reports are triggered:
- A dojo-chō reports an issue following your visit via the platform's post-visit feedback system
- You fail to attend an approved introduction without cancelling through the platform, and the dojo-chō confirms your non-attendance
What happens when a report is filed:
First report: You will receive a private etiquette reminder from MTA. Your account remains active. The school is not identified in the reminder.
Second report: Your account is suspended for review. All pending introduction requests are cancelled and your credits are returned. MTA will review your account within 5 business days and contact you at your registered email address.
Account termination: MTA reserves the right to terminate any account at its sole discretion. On termination:
- All remaining credits are forfeited immediately
- No refund is available for any reason
- All pending introductions are cancelled
- Affected schools are notified without disclosure of the reason for cancellation
Reactivation: A suspended account may be reactivated at MTA's discretion following review. A terminated account may only be reactivated by contacting terms@mytrainingatlas.com. MTA is not obligated to reactivate any account.
7. No-Shows
Failing to attend an approved introduction without cancelling through the platform is recorded as a no-show. A no-show is counted as a conduct report for the purposes of Section 6.
A no-show is recorded when:
- The dojo-chō confirms you did not attend, AND
- You confirm you did not attend, OR you do not respond to the platform's attendance confirmation within 48 hours
If you cannot attend, cancel through the platform as early as possible. Cancellation through the platform does not count as a no-show.
8. Credential Representation
Your profile — including your arts, lineage, rank, and home school — is visible to schools when they receive your introduction request. Schools make decisions about whether to accept your introduction based on this information.
You are responsible for ensuring your profile is accurate. MTA does not independently verify rank or credentials. Deliberately misrepresenting your credentials to gain access to a school is a breach of these terms and may result in immediate account termination.
An Associated or Verified badge on your profile indicates platform-level linking to a claimed school listing only. It is not an independent verification of rank or martial arts credentials.
9. Your Data

How we use it:

Data retention: Your account record is retained after termination to maintain the integrity of introduction history and conduct records. Retained records are not publicly visible.
Your rights: To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, contact terms@mytrainingatlas.com. Deletion requests will be assessed against platform integrity requirements.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, MTA is not liable for:
- Any injury, loss, or damage arising from a visit facilitated through the platform
